As 2023/2024 Academic Year Begins:
Bda II Mayor Offers Didactics To Kids To Boost Schooling

The 2023/2024 academic beginning this September 4, 2023 is taking off a good footing with the mayor of the Bamenda II Council in Mezam Division of the North West Region, Peter Chenwi, offering didactics to hundreds of children in his municipality.
The school materials were awarded at a recent ceremony in Bamenda. The municipal authority during the event emphasized that education should never be toiled with and children should not be stopped from acquiring knowledge.
“Education is what is keeping the region very strong coupled with all resources are gained through education reason we must do our best all the time for these children to go to school,” he said, adding that: “The only company we have is education and people from other regions came here for that purpose to tell us that North West Region is the center of education in the country. Due to the crisis, those who were IDP’s in other regions, have come back and it Is high time the council helps them since they went out, some had no jobs, no food and even means to pay their fees and we need to do all to encourage them in the way we can.” Mayor Peter Chenwi told the press.
Mayor Chenwi was also hailed for involving Persons Living With Disabilities, PLWDs in the Bamenda II municipality in the move.
The municipal authority was also however saluted for the several strides made in the educational milieu such that children enjoy their basic right of being able to acquire knowledge.
The Divisional Officer, DO of Bamenda II, Nicolas Nkongho and a representative of the North West Regional Assembly President, Ghejung Awunti enjoined the children and parents to all be as veritable ambassadors of education in the subdivision.
