DR Congo Students Defend Masters Theses At ICT University In Style

Some three students from the Institute Superieur Pedagogique de la Gombe in The Democratic Republic of Congo, DR Congo have defended their masters theses in style at the ICT University in Cameroon.

The three students faced different panels on July 5 and 6 at the campus of ICT University in Yaounde. They explained the relevance of their projects which they worked on for two years.

One of them, Lukoki Tulanda Dan, a police officer in the Democratic Republic of Congo, defended a project to set up an information system to facilitate the collection and treatment of information in the intervention unit of the police department in DR Congo.

According to Tulanda, the system will increase the efficiency of the police in Congo in the tracking down law defaulters and set a foundation for the recording of information of stakeholders in the police force.

He spoke with boldness and so much conviction pointing out the relevance of this topic in the current context of DR Congo and Africa at large. The Jury was marveled at the brilliance of their presentation and were convinced enough to award him a B grade while lauding his efforts.

The second candidate, Laglie Bototo Serge, defended a project that will see the construction in the management of schools and professional engagement of the various stakeholders in his chosen field. This project is to permit the proper management of school officials involved in the running and functioning of the institution.

The candidate brought out in clear terms the workability of this project and how important it is nowadays. He went further to pinpoint the benefits DR Congo in particular and Africa at large will make from the project. The jury after evaluating his work found it worthy of an ‘A’ given its relevance in the current context.

Meanwhile, the third candidate Musudi Deogracias Deo, defended a project aimed at developing an information system that will help in management of the students Parkour at the Institute Superieur Pedagogique de la Gombe.

This system seeks to keep records of all the students who pass through the Institution and enable the creation of a database where students’ information can easily be retrieved.

He was fluent in his explanation and convinced the jury to award him an A grade on how workable it is. The candidates after their defense thanked the ICT University for giving them the opportunity to defend at the prestigious institution of learning.

They went on to say the school is a true reflection of Africa’s drive towards digitization and making ICT development a reality in the Continent.

This defense comes to underscore ICT university’s leading role in the digitization of education in Cameroon and Africa at large .To have foreigners come defend at the Institution is a booster to the mission and vision of the school.
